The Craft

Woven by Hand, Shaped by Tradition

At Tazlune, every rug begins with the hands of a skilled Moroccan artisan. Our pieces celebrate weaving traditions passed down through generations, where time, patience and craftsmanship transform wool into something made to live with for years.

From the Atlas Mountains

Morocco is home to a remarkable variety of weaving traditions. From the understated geometry of Beni Ourain rugs to expressive Boujaad pieces, intricate Taznakht weaving and richly textured Mrirt rugs, each tradition has its own character and visual language.

We work to preserve this diversity rather than make every rug look the same.

The Beauty of Natural Wool

Natural wool gives Moroccan rugs their warmth, softness and distinctive texture. The character of the fibers, combined with hand weaving, creates subtle variations that cannot be replicated by mass production.

Made One Rug at a Time

A handmade rug takes time. Depending on its size and technique, artisans carefully build the design row by row, knot by knot or through traditional flatweaving methods.

These processes naturally create small variations in lines, motifs, texture and dimensions. We see these details not as imperfections, but as traces of the hands that made the rug.

Made for Your Space

Alongside our one-of-a-kind pieces, Tazlune offers custom-made rugs. Size, colors and design can be adapted to your space while preserving the character of traditional Moroccan craftsmanship.

Our aim is simple: to bring authentic Moroccan craft into contemporary homes while respecting the people, materials and traditions behind every piece.
